Preparing Your Pet for Air Travel
We specialize in transporting dogs, cats, and birds but can also assist with other beloved pets. All pets travel as manifest cargo in the aircraft’s livestock hold, which is:
- Temperature-controlled between 18°C and 25°C for comfort.
- Dimly lit with pressure regulation for a calm environment.
- Carefully monitored for safety throughout the flight.
Before departure, our Animal Handlers ensure that all airline and check-in criteria are met to make your pet’s journey as smooth as possible.
Pet Transport Options

We offer three flexible pet transportation services to suit your needs:
- Door-to-Door: We collect your pet from your home, handle flight arrangements, and ensure safe clearance and customs formalities before delivering them directly to your new residence.
- Door-to-Airport: We collect your pet from home, book them on a flight, and arrange for you to pick them up at the destination airport, where you complete customs and airline procedures.
Airport-to-Airport: You drop off your pet at the airport or our kennels. We handle the flight arrangements, and you collect them upon arrival at the destination airport, managing any final customs steps.
Pet Travel Tips

Comfort & Familiarity
- Place a worn t-shirt in their crate for comfort, avoiding clothing with buttons, zips, or small parts.
- A familiar blanket can help ease anxiety.
Feeding & Hydration
- Avoid feeding a large meal on the day of departure—offer a small snack instead.
- Provide a long walk for dogs before travel to allow for a toilet break.
Safety & Restraints
- Cats should be secured in a room the night before collection to prevent last-minute stress.
- Avoid sedating pets—airline regulations prohibit tranquilizers due to breathing risks. Instead, use natural calming products like calming collars or gels.
Travel Accessories & Restrictions
- No rawhide chews, hooves, or bones are allowed.
- Pets cannot travel with bowls, beds, or loose treats, but a small portion of dry food can be attached to the crate.
- Leads and collars should be packed separately—we recommend keeping them in your hand luggage.
Grooming & Health Precautions
- Brush your pet before travel to remove dead fur and keep them cool.
- Clip their nails to prevent scratching.
- Avoid washing your pet at least three days before departure.
Special Considerations

Original Documentation
- Pets must travel with original documents, which we will attach securely to their crate.
Puppy & Kitten Travel
- Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old before travel to ensure their eardrums are fully developed.
- Vaccination requirements vary—contact us for country-specific regulations.
Elderly Pets
- For pets over 10 years old, a thorough health check-up is recommended.
- Ensure proper hydration and crate acclimation before travel.
High-Risk Breeds & Travel Restrictions
- Certain breeds face flight restrictions or import bans—please contact us for updated regulations.

Testimonials
Monty had a lovely flight and is quite calm but still a bit confused. He was such a clean little boy in his crate.
The kids were so excited to have them here and it has made our house a home again.
When we picked them up from Dublin they were so happy to see us they cried all the way home for three hours. The photo’s are of them and the area around us where we walk and their new house (ours) is in the middle of the street and houses photo.
