The Small Vari Kennel comes with a convenient handle, a built-in compartment cover for storing treats or other essentials, and a seat-belt loop notch at the top to secure the kennel in your car.

The Medium Vari Kennel also includes a handle but does not feature the built-in compartment. For the Intermediate, Large, and X-Large sizes, the kennels are designed without a handle or built-in compartment.

Assembly of the Petmate Vari Kennel is quick and easy, with no tools required. It comes with wing nuts and bolts, which are essential for airline travel. Selecting the correct kennel size is key to ensuring a positive crate training experience for your pet. Our kennels come in a range of sizes, from small to extra-large, to suit most dog breeds. But why is size so important? Imagine your pet trying to stand, turn around, or lie down in a kennel that’s too small—it would be quite uncomfortable.

To find the perfect size, measure your dog from the top of their head to the floor, and from the tip of their nose to the base of their tail. The kennel should be 7.5 to 10 cm taller and longer than your pet, providing plenty of room to stand fully, turn around easily, and lie down comfortably. If the kennel is too small, your pet will feel cramped; if it’s too large, they might even use part of it as a bathroom.
